Legal and contracting

The paperwork position, before you ask for it

Most of what stalls a signed pilot is not the product. It is an agreement that has not been drafted or an insurance certificate that does not exist yet. Here is exactly where we stand.

Where we are, and one open question

In self-hosted and air-gapped deployments we are not a processor of your telemetry at all, because none of it reaches us. In managed cloud mode, the snapshots we hold are encrypted with a key we do not have.

We publish our subprocessors on the security page, and the binding version travels with the DPA.

Open, and we will not guess in public

Whether the business is "established in the EU" for GDPR purposes is a question we are taking formal advice on, because the entity is US-registered while the owner-operator is EU-resident. The answer determines whether an Article 27 representative applies or whether a lead supervisory authority does.

It is a name and an address, not something that can be answered "in progress", and it is the kind of thing a European buyer's counsel asks in week one. Ask us directly and you will get the current answer rather than a hedge on a webpage.

This website

The enquiry form on this site collects your work email, company, role, and whatever you choose to tell us about your environment. We use it to reply to you and to prepare for a conversation. We do not sell it, we do not enrich it against third-party data brokers, and we do not add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.

Ask us to delete your enquiry and we will, without requiring a reason. Write to vivek@rangehead.com.

Product terms, privacy policy, and refund terms for the self-serve plans live on clawmetry.com and govern those plans. Enterprise engagements are governed by the signed agreement, which takes precedence over anything on either website.
